Document #1:
1. What search strings did you try? For the first document I tried searching "daughters of American revolution" I also tried searching for the date"February 26 1939"
2. I didnt find anything until I actually read the document more closely and read that whoever wrote the letter was resigning so I searched "resigning from daughters of American revolution" and Elenore Roosevelt came up and it showed the document.
3. Wikipedia was the first link to come up with I searched and it was useful and somewhat credible information about the daughters of American revolution but not necessarily for the document I was trying to find.
4. This document seems credible because I was able to find who wrote it and even the story behind why Elenore Roosevelt wrote this letter.
Document #2
1. The search strings that I tried for this document were mainly "jail convicts" "background map" "escaped convicts" "road map of jailed in mississippi" I searched for a very long time on this document and I couldnt find anything about it
2. I finally found the document by searching " background map arrested" "april 22 December 1" and it was like the sixth link down the page.
3. This first link that came up was once again Wikipedia about some chick named brownie mary. This didnt have anything to do with my document I searched through the google search suggestions until I finally found the document of 1961 freedom rides map from the American treasures of the library of congress.
4. This document is credible because it is in the American Treasures of the Library of Congress.
Document #3
1. For this document I tried searching police reports in Montgomery and then I also searched J.F. Blake and it came up right away with Rosa Parks being fined for refusing to follow the bus drivers directions.
2. This document was very easy to find. I just searched the main points of the document, date name and Montgomery police report, and it was the very first link that appeared.
3. The very first link that came up was about Rosa Parks police report so I clicked it and the document was right there. It was very easy to find easier than document two because it is probably more well known than document #2
4. This document seems credible because it has the name and date of when the incident happened plus it was so easy to find that it seems credible.
Document #4
1. This document was rather easy to find as well. I searched "role call of the 88th congress house of reps"
2. I couldn't find the document on the first page of the normal search. So I decided to try and go to google images and there it was! On the second page I found the role call sheet of civil rights act of 1964 that was passed on feb 10 1964 and passed by a vote of 290 to 130.
3. The very first link that came up was nothing that I was looking for, it was a website of congress and house of reps that I had no idea what it was talking about. I had to search through the pages of google to find what I was looking for and I used the google "image" tab to try and find the image which then brought me to the website which happened to be wikipedia!
4. Although some people do not think that Wikipedia is credible I have to disagree, I think that Wikipedia is very useful for certain searches such as historical documents. Wiki showed me not only the image I was looking for but it gave me information about what the document was used for and it also gave me information about the bill that was being passed and the background of that bill.
